The Little Angels Project
(LAP) is a nonprofit animal welfare organization founded by Darlene Geekie, RVT. As the owner of Veterinary Angels Medical Center (VAMC) and a genuine animal lover, she saw an urgent need to provide aid to low-income families and those who have been affected by natural disasters. She formed this charitable organization in an effort to save as many dogs, cats, and other animals as possible.

Sabrina Lankford
Sabrina is our Non-profit Administrator. She has worked in the Veterinary field for 14 years and has a passion for the care of all animals from exotic to domestic. She joined our organization in 2019 after working with Darlene at her Veterinary Hospital, Veterinary Angels Medical Center. Her responsibilities with Little Angels range from Office Administration to Financial Aid Coordinator with many duties in between.
Yvette Berke
Yvette is our Outreach Coordinator. Yvette has a background in business and a passion for animals and the environment. She has more than 30 years’ experience with Rescue,TNR (Trap / Neuter / Release), pet adoption and as an advocate in The Humane community. Yvette has a special featured column in The Acorn Newspapers (Yvette on Pets) as well as contributing to print and online media. Her responsibilities with LAP include Grant Writer, Media Relations and coordinating donations for wellness events and disaster programs.
